16th Annual Mango Festival

It's that time of year again; mango trees are heavy with fruit, ready for a great harvest, and the 16th Annual International Mango Festival Presented by Whole Foods! Fairchild's International Mango Festival will feature everything for the mango loverómango tree sales, mango lectures, mango medics, displays of more than 200 mangos from Fairchild nurseries, the International Fruit Market, mango smoothies, a children's program that includes a mango puppet show, mango theater and cooking demonstrations.
Saturday, July 12, Chef Allen Susser will be onsite selling Mango Barbecue Sauce, Chutney and his newest ěMango Tearsî Hot Sauce. Be sure to stop by to pick up a bottle.
Sunday, July 13, Chef Allen Susser will be one of the presenting chefs at the Mango Brunch at 11:00 a.m., Garden House, Tickets: Members $75; Non-members $100. Click here for more information on the delicious Mango Brunch.

Mango Madness Festival
July 18-20, 2008
St. Lucia's JADE MOUNTAIN will celebrate its Mango Madness Festival from July 18-20. Mango Madness or "1001 things you could do to a mango before you die" has been brought to life by JADE Mountainís consulting Chef, Allen Susser, and his team honoring the many varieties of mangos available in St Lucia. Allen Susser who is the author of a mango cookbook and the definite authority on this remarkable fruit, will host the event personally. The activities include: a mango chutney workshop, mango cocktail party, mango tasting and demonstration, Mango Madness cooking class- the highlight being the "Night of 1000 Mangos" dinner at the Jade Mountain Club. Participants in Mango Madness will join in mango field trips to the resort owned organic and historical plantations of Anse Mamin and Emerald. The farewell event will include a Mango Champagne Brunch served on the beach at Anse Mamin estate.
